TRADITIONAL FARM BUILDINGS IN THE REGION BETWEEN THE RIVERS WARTA AND NER

Abstract: The paper presents results of research on traditional farm buildings in the region between the rivers Warta and Ner. The buildings were constructed in bricks technology with the use of local of limestone silica building stone. The used material and a significant number of objects (more than 1800 is inventoried ) causes that the described area is still characterized by a distinct architectural and structural separateness. Further research should primarily result in detailed register of the buildings with the regional specificity, determining their technical condition, selection of objects to be under conservation, development of guidelines for repairs and protect against further degradation. Finally, promotion of the architectural distinctiveness of the region should be scheduled.
