THE WASTES ON CONSTRUCTION SITE AND IN PRODUCTION

Abstract:
The article presents the results of the study on the waste on construction site. The results were compared to
similar data obtained in the production. According to the respondents the greatest impact, eg. on the cost,
time and quality have: the delay (waiting) in the construction, lack of quality and making defective product in
construction works as well as lack of intended use creating unnecessary inventory. The results show that the
main waste mentioned in the production engineering literature are present also on the construction site, which
confirms the need of implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles to the construction projects.
