The technical condition of a building changes as a result of the aging process. A basic problem over the course
of building use is the prospective planning of renovation works as well as anticipating the funds necessary to
carry them out. Oftentimes, however, due to the savings of resources, decisions pertaining to repair works are
moved back to later years of the service life. Such savings lead to the worsening of the technical state. The
article presents a method of determining the date for the complete renovation of a building due to unfavorable
changes in its technical state. The limit values of the renovation date are determined by functions determining
the aging process of a building described using the PRRD method.
