HYDROTECHNICAL STRUCTURES IN PROTECTED AREAS

Abstract: The article introduces the requirements, that the damming devices should fulfil, taking under attention new tendencies in hydrotechnics and the principle of sustainable development. The problems of constructing and correct exploiting of damming devices and their impact on the natural habitats of protected areas was presented on the example of the Kampinoski National Park. The measures necessary to adopt the existing damming devices, for fulfilling ecological functions were presented. The necessity of establishing a controlled water management was stressed.
