LOCAL SCOUR ON DAM MODELS WITH OUTFLOW OVER AND ABOVE GATE

Abstract: The paper describes a results of investigation carried out on model of dam in order to recognize and compare process of scouring below of the tired construction with outflow over and above gate. Investigations were conducted for four intensity of flow and used one kind of sand in eroded area in downstream. In results of analyses show that depths of scour are smaller for outflow above gate. Distance of occurrence maximum depth of scour from end of protection was larger for outflow over gate. Key words: storage structure, local scour, turbulence of stream
