CALCULATION OF FIRST NATURAL FREQUENCY OF STEEL COLUMNS WITH VARIABLE CROSS-SECTIONS PART II. RESULTS

Abstract: Results of calculations of the natural period of steel columns, determined using formulas developed in the &#-1279;rst part of this paper, are presented for selected examples. Results concern columns in form of frustum of cone, special case of a tube shaped like a cone and frustum of regular pyramid. Results of calculations were compared with calculations according to the PN-77/B-02011 standard and calculations by the computer program ANSYS.
